Croatian Cinema Today

The Consulate General of the Republic of Croatia and the American Cinematheque invite you
to a special presentation of all new films from Croatia, Friday May 16 through to Sunday the 18th, 2008.

Croatian Cinema Today opens with the US premiere of THE LIVING AND THE DEAD (Zivi i mrtvi) directed by Kristijan Milic with a Q&A with the filmmakers followed by a reception and a presentation of Croatian wine by the Blue Danube Wine Company in the lobby at the AERO THEATER in Santa Monica. The program is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Croatia, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian Audio Visual Center.

42nd Annual Palos Verdes Marathon
Hosted by Kiwanis Club of Rolling Hills Estates

Join us for the 2008 Palos Verdes Marathon, 1/2 Marathon, and 5K Run and Community Walk. Breathtaking views will accompany you throughout the run and a great expo will welcome you after you finish. And don't forget to support your favorite school by joining the School Challenge!

This year's race is fully sanctioned and certified by USA Track and Field – and is a qualifying event for the Boston Marathon.
Directions to the race site: Take the #110 Harbor Freeway South to its' very end at Gaffey Street. Turn left on Gaffey and follow Gaffey to its' very end at Point Fermin Park in San Pedro. (about 3 miles off the freeway)

Hrvatski vaterpolisti su osvajanjem zlatne medalje i naslova svjetskog prvaka u Australiji 2008. godine stali uz bok velikana hrvatskog športa koji su promicali hrvatsko ime i hrvatsku državu. Na putu prema osvajanju olimpijskog trona u Pekingu ove godine, hrvatska vaterpolo reprezentacija odigrat će dvije pripremne utakmice protiv vaterpolo reprezentacije SAD-a.
Prva utakmica je na rasporedu 29. svibnja u 7.00 PM na Corona del Mar High School, 2101 East Bluff Dr., Newport Beach, California, a druga koja će biti popraćena TV prijenosom na rasporedu je 31. svibnja u 6.00 PM na Oaks Christian High School, 31749 La Tienda Dr., Westlake Village, California.
Pozivamo Vas da svojim dolaskom još jednom odamo priznanje svjetskim prvacima i da zajedničkim bodrenjem pokažemo snagu i jedinstvo i na taj način damo podršku našim vaterpolistima na putu prema još jednom velikom uspjehu.
