THE 5th ANNUAL CROATIAN CULTURAL EXTRAVAGANZA

  

Gathering of Croatian Folkdance Ensembles from the USA and Canada (sometimes farther) to perform at a Concert at the Historic Waner Grand Theater in San Pedro California. This is a whole weekend event and there will be many parties and get togethers for all the groups in attendance as well as guests & Friends of the Croatian Community.

Any groups wishing to attend need to contact heidi@bubalo.com in order to be approved by the board of directors and an official invitation can be mailed.

Počasni Bleiburški Vod Južne Kalifornije sprema banket za izgradnju Vojnog Groblja na Bleiburškom Polju, jednom od najvećih simbola Hrvatskog mučeništva i početka Križnih puteva.

Pod pokroviteljstvom organizacije United Hercegovina banket će se održati u našoj župskoj dvorani u subotu 19. ožujka 2011. Sveta Misa za ubijene hrvatske vojnike i civile služit će se u 6:30 sati. Nakon toga slijedi večera.

Please be advised that on Sunday, September 18, 2011 Mary Star of the Sea Church in San Pedro will be visited by Ivana Silic, representative of the American College of Management and Technology (ACMT) from Croatia. RIT/ACMT is the only American private educational institution in Croatia and is a part of Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), from Rochester, NY.

RIT/ACMT is enrolling it's 15 generation of students in Dubrovnik and it's first generation in Zagreb. Undergraduate programs of study that students can choose from are: Information Technology, International Business and International Hospitality and Service Management. Graduate level programs of study available are: Service Leadership and Innovation and Human Resources Development.

Students can apply throughout the year, and enroll for a quarter, a year or the full program of study in English at one of the two locations: Dubrovnik or Zagreb. Students with a High School diploma or equivalent are encouraged to apply.

All interested students and their parents can join us for Ivana's presentation on Sunday, September 18, 2011 after the Mass in Croatian.
Ivana will also be joining us for the Festival of Cultures and will be available for all your questions and inquiries.

The 10th Annual Free Irvine Global Village Festival

will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 10 am to 6 pm
at Bill Barber Park.

Maja Kruger will be hosting the Croatian booth. It's an interesting multicultural event. If in Orange County, please, visit Maja's booth.

Attendees will celebrate Irvine’s cultural diversity by experiencing the sights, sounds, and tastes of more than 50 cultures and music and dance on five stages.
The Festival will feature cultural and religious displays, international cuisine, and a world marketplace.
Activities for kids will include hands-on art projects, games, and puppet shows.

Admission is free. $1.00 Food Tasting Tickets will be available for purchase the day of the event; tasting item prices range from 1 to 3 tickets with some restaurants offering multiple tastings on one plate with corresponding tickets requested.

On-site parking will be provided at Bill Barber Park, Irvine Civic Center and along Harvard Avenue and Alton Parkway adjacent to the park.
On-site parking will fill quickly. Guests are encouraged to use the free Shuttle service from these off-site parking locations:

• Jamboree Center – Jamboree and Union
• UCI – 4 stops throughout campus.
• Lakeview Senior Center – 20 Lake Rd., Corner of Alton and Lake

Handicap parking is located at the onsite parking lots and the Lakeview Senior Center. All shuttles are handicap accessible.
